The doctors at Bear Creek Chiropractic and Medical have over 25 years of experience evaluating and treating work-related injuries, such as neck pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain, wrist pain and knee pain.  

Once you choose Bear Creek Chiropractic and Medical as the primary treating facility, you are evaluated and diagnosed. A specific treatment plan and/or pain medication will be given to you and you will receive periodic re-evaluations by the primary treating doctor.  If the symptoms improve, you might be able to perform modified work duties. If you are not able to return to your everyday work duty, you are entitled to receive disability benefits from the employer's Workers' Compensation insurance company.
 
There are two types of Workers' Compensation injuries, e.g., repetitive injuries and isolated injuries.  Both of these types can create scar tissue that may prevent fluid movement of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and surrounding tissues.  As scar tissue builds up your muscles become shorter and weaker resulting in abnormal tension on tendons. This may precipitate tendonitis and nerve entrapment.  This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength and pain.  If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness.   The two main soft tissue techniques that we use in this office to take care of this problem are, Graston Technique (www.grastontechnique.com) and Active Release Technique (www.activerelease.com) 

Making a false or fraudulent Workers' Compensation claim is a felony subject to up to five years in prison or a fine up to $50,000 or double the value of the fraud, whichever is greater, or by both imprisonment and a fine.
